Hisotric Ships on Mare Island-National Park Service-Now Open Weekends

San Francisco Maritime NHP has recently been providing weekend open houses of this National Historic Landmark vessel. It has been exhilarating to host the public on board once again and the Park Ranger staff have been re-acclimating themselves to operations afloat. Our Rangers are very dedicated and love talking about the Park’s ships and other resources. So please stop by to visit our historic ships at the equally historic Mare Island Navy Yard in Vallejo, CA.
Staffing permitting, the C.A. Thayer is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 pm to 4pm.
