One of the Bay Area’s deepest blues circles comes to the Marquee Club.
Kid Andersen is the guitarist, producer and studio force behind Greaseland, the San Jose recording home connected to a remarkable list of contemporary blues artists. His career includes work with Charlie Musselwhite, Rick Estrin & The Nightcats, John Nemeth and many more.
The Greaseland All Stars turn that musical community into a live band, with the lineup and chemistry that have made Greaseland a major center of modern West Coast blues.
Special guest John “Blues” Boyd brings a voice shaped by Mississippi roots, decades of real life experience and a late-blooming songwriting career. His old-school blues delivery moves from sweetness to raw power with the authenticity that has made him a favorite of musicians and blues audiences alike.
Dinner and drinks begin at 5:30 PM. Show starts at 6:30 PM in the intimate Empress Marquee Club.
